NEPSE gains 0.78 points; turnover stands at Rs 193.25 million

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) gained meager 0.78 points or 0.08 percent to close at 964.24 level.

However NEPSE Sensitive plunged by 0.14 point at closing level of 204.89 whereas Float gained 0.1 points to settle at 67.85 level.

Opening at 963.46 level this afternoon, the local bourse fell down to 959 till the initial trading hour and thereafter went up to 964.24 till closing.

Among the sub-indices, Banking and Finance plunged by 0.98 and 1.19 points to close at 837.65 and 539.08 level respectively.

Development (814.75) and HydroPower (2,208.30) gained 0.11 and 3.16 points respectively.

Insurance (4,154.91) and Hotels (2020.53) surged by double digit of 31.03 and 23.99 points respectively.

Manufacturing gained 2.79 points to close at 1,450.19 level.

Shares like PCBL, GBIME and NLICL were the most traded shares.

MFIL, MBBL and MPFL were among the top gainers of the day whereas share price of MTBL, UFCL and GMFIL plunged maximum today.

Altogether 545,754 unit shares of 139 companies were traded through 1,448 transactions worth Rs 193.25 million.
