NEPSE Falls 15.43 Points as Non-Life Insurance Stocks Lead Selloff; Three Companies Hit Negative Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit loss today, losing by 15.43 points (-0.60%) to close at 2,545.40. This follows a 18.07-point gain in the previous trading session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,577.05 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,578.43 and a low of 2,543.22 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 4.19 Arba, with 10,965,542 shares traded across 352 companies through 50,804 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.78 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.76 Kharba.

Reliance Spinning Mills Limited (RSML) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 42.76 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 2,993.00.

Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Company Limited (ULHC) hit the upper circuit with a 15.00% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 299.00.

Meanwhile, Three Companies recorded the Lowest circuit, falling by 15.00%. Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) faced strong selling pressure, with its share price plunging 15% following reports that six major shareholders plan to sell their holdings within the next three months.

Among sectors, Non Life Insurance recorded the highest loss, losing by 1.57%, while the Banking SubIndex recorded the least loss, down 0.15%.
