NEPSE Drops By 17.01 Points to Settle at 2,787.15 Level as Market Extends Losses

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, declining by 17.01 points (0.60%) to settle at 2,787.15. This comes after a loss of 2.95 points in the previous trading session on yesterday.


The benchmark index opened at 2,806.53 and reached an intraday high of 2,817.10, while the day’s low stood at 2,779.86. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 5.09 Arba, with 11,375,699 shares traded across 348 companies through 93,907 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.53 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.80 Kharba.

Reliance Spinning Mills Limited (RSML) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 30.42 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 4,320.00.

In today’s trading session, two companies hit the positive circuit limit of 15%, including PCIL and SIPD.


Meanwhile, Suryakunda Hydro Electric Limited (SKHEL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 11.79%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 1,591.20


Among sectors, the Manufacturing And Processing registered the highest gain, gaining 0.60%, while Hotels And Tourism Index recorded highest fall, falling by 1.42%.
