NEPSE down by 5.52 points; turnover declines to Rs 29 crore

NEPSE index plunged by 5.84 points or 0.49 percent to close at 1175.57 level today.
However increase in share price of shares of development banks in the initial hour led the market index surge up above 1183 level but thereafter fell down to 1175.57 mainly due to decrease in share price of commercial banks shares.
The total turnover of the day amounts just Rs 29.80 crore where more than 8 lakh unit shares of 130 companies were traded.
Trading of commercial banks shares was average today where maximum shares of PRVU, EBL, SRBL, NBB, GBIME, CZBIL and NICA were traded.
Share Price of Development companies like SEWA, KCDBL, TNBL and NCDB and Finance companies like JEFL, MFIL, UFIL and BFCL surged maximum today.
However SADBL, ICFC, NTC, HDL, PIC, KEBL, SUPRME and DDBL were on top loser’s side.
Among the sub-indices, Hotels and Insurance sector gained in double digit of 13.32 and 63.09 points respectively.
Others loosed maximum of 38.76 points to close at 784.78 level due to fall in share price of NTC.
Development and Finance landed in green whereas Banking, Hydro and Manufacturing landed in red.
