NEPSE down by 4.4 points; closes at 982.65 level

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) dipped 4.4 points or 0.45 percent to close at 982.65 level.
Opening at 987.05 level this afternoon, the local bourse stepped down throughout the day.
NEPSE Sensitive and Float also declined by 0.93 point and 0.3 point to stand at 208.76 and 68.63 levels.
Among the sub-indices, Banking went down by 3.53 points or 0.41 percent to close at 858.66 level.
Similarly Development (825.44), Finance (544.40) and Insurance (4279.18) stumbled 7.37 points, 1.08 point and 5.68 points respectively.
Hotels and HydroPower dropped by 4.9 points and 39.19 points to stand at 2046.21 and 2239.39 levels respectively.
On the contrary, Trading surged by 0.85 points or 0.45 percent to close at 191.08 level whereas Others managed to remain at 746.02 level.
Altogether 710,590 unit shares of 152 companies were traded through 2,360 transactions worth Rs 277.85 million which included manual turnover of Rs 11.56 million.
Shares of Prabhu Bank and Chilime Hydro were traded maximum today, whereas share price of Matribhumi Development, Central Finance and Kathmandu Finance surged maximum.
