NEPSE down by 4.23 points; turnover around Rs 117.25 million

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) dipped down by 4.23 points or 0.45 percent to close at 944.13 level.

Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float also dropped by 0.7 and 0.36 points to close at 201.56 and 66.51 levels respectively.

Opening at 948.38 level this afternoon the local bourse came down to 942 and remained around this level through the day.

Altogether 285,065 unit shares of 124 companies were traded through 1,099 transactions worth Rs 117.25 million.

Among the sub-indices, Others was the only sector to land in green recording surge of 4.69 points to close at 714.30 level.

Banking (827.60), Development (795.07) and Finance (532.20) plunged by 4.54 points, 2.94 points and 0.06 point respectively.

Hotels (1980.57) and HydroPower (2190.95) slipped down by 6.4 points and 17.2 points respectively.

Insurance dropped by 39.74 points to close at 3921.39 level.

NLIC, GBIME, ADBL and CHCL were the most traded shares.

FMDBL, TNBL, JFL and IDBL were among the top gainers whereas SICL, PICL, EIC and LLBS were the top losers of the day.
