NEPSE Dips By 0.31% to Close at 2,622.89 ; SHIVM Leads the Turnover Chart While Only 6 Sector Closes at Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 8.24 points (0.31% ) to settle at 2,622.89. This follows a 30.75 -point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2629.67, touching an intraday high of 2,650.61, while the lowest point was 2,610.96. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 6.05 Arba, with 12,185,388 shares traded across 333 companies through 54,892 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.84 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.88 Kharba.


SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 37.68 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 613.10.


Muktinath Krishi Company Limited (MKCL) led the gainer's list with 9.99% each.


Meanwhile, Eastern Hydropower Limited (EHPL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 10.00%.

 

Among sectors, Trading Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.93%, while the HydroPower Index and Life Insurance saw the highest loss at 1.05%.
