NEPSE Declines by Double Digits to Settle at 2,770.26 Level

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double digit loss today, declining by 26.16 points (0.93%) to settle at 2,770.26. This comes after a minimal gain of 7.73 points in the previous trading session on Yesterday.


The benchmark index opened at 2799.57 and reached an intraday high of 2,812.29, while the day’s low stood at 2,765.18. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 6.53 Arba, with 14,018,920 shares traded across 349 companies through 151,354 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.24 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.74 Kharba.

 

Palpa Cement Industries Limited (PCIL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 58.33 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 1,039.00.


Himalayan Bank Limited Bond, 2086 (HBLD86) Led the gainer's list with 4.74% each. The Stock closed at Rs. 1,152.10.


Meanwhile, Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 14.99%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 2,353.00.


Among sectors, the Others Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.73%, while Hotels And Tourism Index recorded highest fall, falling by 2.56%.
