NEPSE Contributes Rs. 1.11 Crores to Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for Bhotekoshi Flood Victims

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has provided Rs. 1 crore 11 lakh 11 thousand 111 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support relief and rescue efforts for communities affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River.

The contribution was made under NEPSE’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. NEPSE handed over a cheque for the amount to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle during a programme held today.

The devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River on Bhadra 10, 2083 caused extensive loss of life and property in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and other affected areas.

The disaster resulted in significant damage to homes, infrastructure and livelihoods, leaving many communities in urgent need of assistance. Against this backdrop, NEPSE said its financial support was intended to help provide immediate relief to affected citizens and strengthen government-led rescue and recovery efforts.

The financial assistance will be used for immediate relief, medical treatment, and rehabilitation of people affected by the floods.

Finance Minister Dr. Wagle assured that the funds would be utilized transparently and effectively for the benefit of flood-affected communities. The government has emphasized the need to prioritize urgent humanitarian assistance and rehabilitation in areas severely impacted by the disaster.

NEPSE’s contribution adds to ongoing efforts by government agencies, financial institutions, businesses and other organizations to support communities affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.
