NEPSE continues its correction: Index down 12.17 points with Rs. 2.16 Arba turnover; Banking loses the most

The NEPSE index fell 12.17 points (0.81%) today and closed at 1,487.81.
Overall 19.76 points volatility was observed during the trading session today, with the highest point being the market-open itself and the lowest being 1,483.62.
5,595,551 shares exchanged hands to produce a total turnover of Rs. 2.16 Arba. It had gained a turnover of 2.78 Arba yesterday. 192 scrips were traded via 28,078 transactions.
The float index lost 1.01 points to close at 103.03 while the Sensitive index is at 298.64 after losing 3.55 points.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited has the highest turnover of Rs. 28.40 crores. It had a turnover of Rs. 40.13 crores yesterday. Meanwhile, NMB Bank's Promoter Shares traded the most today.
Three companies hit a 10% positive circuit today (technically). They are Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (USLB), Universal Power Company Limited (UPCL), and Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited (JOSHI).
In contrast, NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) lost the most 9.92%. It had also lost the most 9.87 yesterday.
Four sectors gained today while all others ended red. Trading gained the most 2.48% while Banking lost the most 1.42%.
