NEPSE Closes with a Loss of 5.99 Points; Manufacturing and Processing Sector Leads Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 5.99 points (0.22%) to settle at 2,640.96. This follows an 11.97-point loss in the previous session. 

The benchmark index opened at 2,643.85, touching an intraday high at 2,661.77, while the lowest point was 2,635.30. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 7.97 Arba, with 17,108,809 shares traded across 311 companies through 77,670 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.99 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.82 Kharba.

Radhi Bidyut Company Ltd (RADHI) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 91.23 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 838.

River Falls Power Limited (RFPL) led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit.

Meanwhile, Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited (OMPL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.30%.

Among sectors, the Hydropower Index registered the highest incline, gaining 1.13%, while the Manufacturing and Processing Index saw the largest drop at 1.04%.
