NEPSE Closes with a Loss of 24.76 Points; Trading Sector Leads Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 24.76 points (0.93%) to settle at 2,628.91. This follows a 1.07-point loss in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,650.96, touching an intraday high at 2,661.33, while the lowest point was 2,628.27. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 11.23 Arba, with 29,415,407 shares traded across 314 companies through 121,551 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.79 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.78 Kharba.
Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 85.44 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 413.40.
Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Ltd (PMHPL) led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit.

Meanwhile, three companies recorded the steepest drop, falling 10% each.
Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest loss, losing 2.47%, while the Mutual Fund Index saw the least loss at 0.26%.
