NEPSE closes on a positive note for the week gaining 2 points today; Universal Power Company and Swarojgar Laghubitta Promoter Shares among top losers

On the last trading day of the week, the market gained 0.18% or 2.01 points. The benchmark index stood at 1144.53 points today. The turnover was worth Rs.24.59 Crore which was achieved from trade of 965,079 units of shares traded through 5,617 transactions trading scrips of 168 listed companies in the process.

Today’s trade was dominated by Shivam Cements (SHIVM). The company posted a turnover of Rs.2.62 Crore achieved through trade of 78,450 units of shares. The LTP of the scrip stands at Rs.333 per share.

Civil Laghubitta (CLBSL) was today’s top gainer after it gained 5.88% or 33 points and closed at Rs.594 per share. Universal Power Company (UPCL) lost 9.59% or 19 points and closed at Rs.179 per share, hitting the negative circuit. Swarojgar Laghubitta Bikas Bank Promoter Shares (SLBBLP) lost 9.19% or 25 points and closed at Rs.247 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.32 points and closed at 243.49 points while Float Index gained 0.08 points and closed at 83.35 points.

Hotels, Development Banks, Hydropower and Finance were among the losing sub-indices as they lost 0.81%, 0.21%, 0.01% and 0.02% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points. The top gainer among them was Others as it gained 0.49%.
