NEPSE closes at 1301.34 points after gaining 6.30 points today; Shivam Cements and HIDCL hit the positive circuit

The market today was in the green zone for the whole day. The benchmark index gained 0.49% or 6.30 points and closed at 1301.34 points. The turnover was worth Rs.78.64 Crore which was achieved through trade of 2,392,403 units of shares traded through 8,721 transactions trading scrips of 169 listed companies in the process.

Shivam Cements (SHIVM) dominated today’s trade after posting a turnover of Rs.11.46 Crore achieved through trade of 233,289 units of shares.

Two companies hit the positive circuit today. SHIVM gained 9.96% or 45 points and closed at Rs.497 per share and Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company (HIDCL) gained 9.59% or 14 points and closed at Rs.160 per share. Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) was today’s top loser after it lost 6.07% or 125 points and closed at Rs.1934 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 1.21 points and closed at 278.24 points while Float Index gained 0.28 points and closed at 95.40 points.

Trading, Finance, Non-Life Insurance, Microfinance and Life Insurance were among the losing sub-indices while rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
