NEPSE closes above 950 level; NLICL among the most traded shares

NEPSE started this week’s journey with the gain of 5.14 points or 0.54 percent to close at 952.03 level.
Similarly Sensitive and Float also surged by 1.27 and 0.37 points to settle at 203.15 and 67.15 levels respectively.
Opening at 946.87 level this afternoon, the local bourse went up high to 957 within the initial hour and there after stepped down to 947.47 and finally closed at 952.03 at the end.
Hotels was the only sector among the sub-indices to land in red today with plunge of 18.88 points to close at 1966.54 level.
Banking (838.20) and HydroPower (2204.51) surged by 5.93 and 13.37 points respectively.
Development Banks (800.79) and Finance (532.30) gained 1.15 and 0.29 points respectively.
Manufacturing (1507.38), Others (709.61) and Trading (207.23) went up by 12.6 points, 5.88 points and 6.84 points respectively.
Altogether 430,339 unit shares of 134 companies were traded through 1646 transactions worth Rs 200.10 million.
NLICL, NLIC, PRVU and CHCL were among the top traded shares.
JFL, KNBL, NLG and NBBL were among the top gainers whereas UFIL, NIL, MPFL and KCDBL were the top losers of the day.
