NEPSE closes above 940 level on the last trading day of this week

The Benchmark Index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) gained meager 0.55 points or 0.06 percent to close at 940.09 level.

Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float also stepped up by 0.07 point and 0.16 points to settle at 199.88 and 66.28 level respectively.

Opening at 939.60 level this afternoon the local bourse climbed up to 941.02 level within the initial hour and there after remained around 940 mark throughout the day.


Altogether 394,558 unit shares of 131 companies were traded through 1,341 transaction worth Rs 141.45 million.

Among the sub-indices, Banking gained 4.63 points or 0.57 percent to settle at 823.54 level.

Insurance (4001.88) and Finance (532.99) also surged by 0.57 and 0.26 points respectively.

Development Banks (792.89) and Trading (193.63) slipped by 0.33 and 3.38 points respectively.

HydroPower and Others loosed 7.59 points and 11.75 points to close at 2165.45 and 693.16 level respectively.

PRVU, GBIME, MBL and CHCL were traded maximum today.

JFL, INDB, JBNL and MDBL were among the top gainers of the day whereas share price of NCM, YETI and NNLB dropped maximum today.
