NEPSE climbs up step of 2.07 points; meager surge in turnover

NEPSE Index has surged meager 2.07 points or 0.21 percent to close at 983.49 level.

Similarly Sensitive and Float also moved up by 0.59 point and 0.2 point respectively.

Opening at 981.43 level this afternoon, the local bourse moved up to intraday high of 985.20 mark index within the initial hour and there after went to intraday low of 980.35 before closing at 983.49 level.

Among the sub-indices, Banking moved up by 3.76 points or 0.44 percent to close at 856.68 level.


Similarly Finance (540.10) and Insurance (4324.45) gained 5.64 and 9.03 points respectively.

On the contrary, Hotels (2069.23), HydroPower (2244.99) and Manufacturing (1441.18) plunged 42.43 points, 4.24 points and 1.63 point respectively.

Development (825.65) went down by 2.55 points whereas Others (747.19) gained 1.17 points respectively.

Shares of Prabhu Bank, National Life Insurance and Nepal Life Insurance were traded maximum today.

Scrips like PIC, CSDBL and PFCLL were among the top gainers of the day.

Altogether 607,027 unit shares of 147 companies were traded through 1,837 transactions worth Rs 258.58 million.
