NEPSE breaks previous record of 1083.55: closes at 7 years high of 1088.42 level

NEPSE index broke the record of previous high of 1083.55 level of July 21-2014 to close at 7 years high of 1088.42 level recording surge of 11.23 points or 1.04 percent on the last trading day of this week.

The total turnover of the day stood at Rs 69.61 crore where more than 13 lakh unit shares of 134 companies were traded thru 5133 transactions.

Opening at 1076 level this afternoon, the benchmark index started gaining points after 1 PM and went above 1086 till mid-trading hour.

There’s cheer among the investors as the local bourse has broke the last year height.

Hotels was the only sectors to land in red whereas Banking and Manufacturing were the sectors to gain maximum points of 15.77 and 68.85 respectively.

Maximum trading were done of commercial banks like NICA, EBL, MBL, NBB, CZBIL, SBI, SBL and NABIL.

Share price of Insurance companies like SIL and SICL faced upper circuit break. PRDBL, TNBL, UNL, MDBL, NICA and RMDC were among the top gainers of the day.

However share price of PURBL, ARDBL, KCDBL, LBL and BFCL plunged maximum today.

More than of Rs 41.75 crore trading were done of shares of commercial banks today whereas manual trading of Rs 1.63 crore were done.
