NEPSE breaches support level of 940 to close at 939.10 level

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) stepped down by 3.2 points or 0.34 percent to close at 939.10 level.

Similarly NESPE Sensitive and Float also dipped down by 0.53 and 0.25 points to stand at 199.75 and 66.04 levels respectively.

Opening at 942.35 level this afternoon the benchmark index faced down trend through the day to breach the support level of 940.

Among the sub-indices, Banking plunged 1.1 points or 0.13 percent to settle at 818.30 level.

Similarly Development (790.73) and Finance (533.16) stumbled 4.32 points and 0.63 point respectively.

Trading (197.01), Hotels (2001.91) and Manufacturing (1482.18) gained 0.08 point, 51.59 points and 17.95 points respectively.

HydroPower (2154.86), Insurance (4023.59) and Others (704.91) plunged by 11.94 points, 41.6 points and 10.57 points respectively.

Altogether 277,283 unit shares of 124 unit companies were traded through 955 transactions worth just Rs 115.65 million.

Shares of GBIME, NLIC, PRVU and CHCL were traded maximum today.

GLICL, NLG, SHL and NCDB were among the top gainers of the day whereas PIC, IDBL, KMBL, SUBBL were among the top losers of the day.
