Nepal to Host International 'Bodhi Dialogue' Conference on Economy and Geopolitics
Nepal will host a four day international conference next week to discuss the country’s economy and its political relationships with neighboring regions.
The event, named the "Bodhi Dialogue," will take place in Kathmandu from June 16 to June 19. It is being organized by the Center for Social Innovation and Foreign Policy (CESIF), a local research organization.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, CESIF Chairperson and former ambassador Vijay Kant Karna explained that the event will bring together both Nepali and international experts. The participants will focus on Nepal's future economic development and the changing political dynamics across South Asia. The organizers aim for the conference to serve as a major platform for deep, forward-looking discussions on regional economic and political shifts.
According to Karna, the conference was named the "Bodhi Dialogue" to highlight Nepal's traditional knowledge and to support the government's efforts in building positive international relations. Once the event concludes, the ideas and recommendations generated by the experts will be compiled into a report and submitted directly to the government.
