Nepal Rastra Bank Urges Banks to Maintain Services in Flood Hit Areas

Nepal Rastra Bank has urged banks and financial institutions to ensure the continuity of banking services in areas affected by recent natural disasters. The central bank said it is working to resume banking and payment services as soon as possible in affected areas through alternative arrangements where necessary.

NRB also called on banks to support the rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts by providing necessary financial assistance. It urged banks and financial institutions to remain committed to protecting the safety and well being of their staff, customers and communities affected by the disasters.
