Nepal Rastra Bank has set the official foreign exchange rates for today (Friday), determining the value of major international currencies against the Nepali rupee.
According to the central bank, one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 147.92 for buying and Rs 148.52 for selling. Similarly, the euro is valued at Rs 169.69 for buying and Rs 170.37 for selling, while the UK pound sterling stands at Rs 196.39 and Rs 197.19, respectively.
Among other major currencies, the Swiss franc has been set at Rs 185.91 for buying and Rs 186.66 for selling. The Australian dollar is priced at Rs 104.11 and Rs 104.54, while the Canadian dollar stands at Rs 107.68 and Rs 108.12. The Singapore dollar has been fixed at Rs 115.27 for buying and Rs 115.74 for selling.
In Asian markets, 10 Japanese yen equals Rs 9.30 for buying and Rs 9.34 for selling. The Chinese yuan has been set at Rs 21.44 and Rs 21.52, respectively. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal is valued at Rs 39.40 for buying and Rs 39.56 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 40.57 and Rs 40.74.
The Thai baht is priced at Rs 4.50 for buying and Rs 4.52 for selling. The UAE dirham stands at Rs 40.28 and Rs 40.44, while the Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at Rs 37.55 and Rs 37.70. Similarly, 100 South Korean won equals Rs 9.86 for buying and Rs 9.90 for selling.
European currencies such as the Swedish krona and Danish krone have also been updated, with rates set at Rs 15.73 and Rs 15.79, and Rs 22.71 and Rs 22.80, respectively.
Among other currencies, the Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 18.88 for buying and Rs 18.96 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar remains one of the highest-valued currencies at Rs 482.45 for buying and Rs 484.41 for selling. The Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 391.79 and Rs 393.38, while the Omani riyal stands at Rs 384.21 and Rs 385.77.
For the Indian currency, Rs 100 has been fixed at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
The central bank stated that these exchange rates are subject to revision at any time as needed. It also noted that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, and the latest updates are available on the official website of Nepal Rastra Bank.
