Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Spanish Chamber of Commerce Discuss Expanding Economic Cooperation

Nepal Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce have agreed to deepen bilateral economic cooperation by strengthening institutional ties, promoting trade and investment and facilitating business exchanges between the two countries.

The meeting held at the Chamber building  both sides agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the end of 2026 or early 2027. The Spanish Chamber also announced plans to bring a delegation of eight to nine Spanish companies to Nepal in February-March 2027 for a business forum aimed at connecting 

The discussions identified renewable energy, hydropower, agriculture, infrastructure, and water management as key areas of collaboration, while highlighting Nepal's export potential in products such as orthodox tea, coffee, cardamom, pashmina, handicrafts, and medicinal herbs. Both chambers expressed confidence that stronger private-sector cooperation would significantly enhance Nepal-Spain trade and investment.
