NCHL Celebrates 16th Anniversary with Recognition and Awards for Digital Payment Contributions

Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) celebrated its 16th anniversary on 8th Poush, 2081, with a formal event attended by prominent figures, including Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari and officials from various financial institutions. NCHL, founded in 2065 under the leadership of Nepal Rastra Bank, has pioneered digital payment systems in Nepal, starting with the NCHL-ECC in 2068. Over the years, NCHL has introduced several systems like NCHL-IPS, connectIPS, and NEPALPAY QR.

The anniversary event recognized long-serving employees and awarded banks and financial institutions for their contributions to digital payments. Awards were given in various categories, such as excellence in NEPALPAY QR transactions, EFT Card Services, and mobile banking. NCHL also honored its ex-chairman, Mr. Suman Joshi, for his role in the company’s growth. With over 53 BFIs and 100 non-bank members, NCHL processes more than 600,000 daily transactions with a total value of NRs. 55 billion.
