Ministry of Finance Releases Rs. 33 Lakhs for Hetauda Textile Mill Revival

The Ministry of Finance has released Rs. 33 lakh to support the reopening of the Hetauda Textile Mill, following a recommendation from the Ministry of Industry.

The mill is being prepared for operation under the management of the Nepali Army, with the initial phase focused on producing uniforms and other textiles required by the military. Discussions on reviving the state owned factory have been facilitated by the Prime Minister's Office.

According to government sources, the Nepali Army has indicated it is prepared to invest around Rs. 2 Arba in the project if it moves forward. The funding comes as the government continues efforts to revive loss making state-owned enterprises, most of which remain financially distressed.
