Michael Foley Appointed CEO of Ncell to Lead Digital Transformation in Nepal
Ncell has appointed Michael Foley as its new CEO, effective 1 November 2025, succeeding Syed MD Enamul Kabir, who will continue as CFO. Foley brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience in the telecommunications sector, having previously served as CEO of Telenor Pakistan, Grameenphone (Bangladesh), and Telenor Bulgaria, as well as leading roles in Airtel and micro-finance initiatives.
Foley emphasized his commitment to advancing Nepal’s digital transformation, enhancing services, and empowering the next generation. The Ncell Board expressed confidence in his strategic vision for guiding the company’s growth and transformation.
Ncell, Nepal’s first private telecom provider, is now fully Nepali-owned under Spectrlite UK Limited’s acquisition, focusing on expanding digital services, innovation, and social initiatives. The company has contributed over Rs. 360 billion in taxes and over Rs. 2 billion in CSR projects since its inception.
