MetLife Nepal Partners with Tribhuvan University to Support Actuarial Education

MetLife Nepal has partnered with the School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS), Tribhuvan University, to launch a merit-based scholarship programme aimed at developing Nepal's next generation of actuarial professionals. Under the initiative, two outstanding undergraduate students will receive scholarships covering their semester fees throughout the four-year programme.

Beyond financial support, the partnership will provide internships, practical learning opportunities, and industry exposure to help students build careers in actuarial science, risk management, and insurance. The initiative seeks to address the shortage of actuarial professionals in Nepal while strengthening the country's insurance and financial services sector. MetLife Nepal said the programme reflects its commitment to expanding educational opportunities and supporting the long-term growth of Nepal's financial ecosystem.
