MetLife Nepal has announced a limited-time customer campaign allowing policyholders to reinstate expired insurance policies with significant waivers on late payment fees, making it easier and more affordable for customers to restore their insurance coverage.

Under the campaign, customers whose insurance policies have lapsed within the last five years will receive a 100 percent waiver on late fees, while policies inactive for more than five years will qualify for a 75 percent waiver. The special offer will remain valid from June 18 to July 16, 2026.

The company stated that customers can conveniently complete the policy reinstatement process digitally through the One by MetLife app, eliminating the need to visit branch offices. Through the app, users can log in, access inactive policies under the insurance section, submit reinstatement requests, and track application status directly from their devices.

According to Nirmal Kajee Shrestha, the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to making insurance services more accessible, convenient, and customer-friendly through digital platforms. He said the campaign is designed to help customers restore their financial protection quickly while reducing additional penalty costs.

Customers who prefer offline services can also visit nearby MetLife branch offices for assistance. Operating in Nepal since 2001, MetLife Nepal continues to provide life insurance, accident and health insurance, as well as employee benefit services, and remains focused on expanding digital insurance solutions in the Nepali market.
