MetLife Nepal and Khalti Suraksha Launch Digital Insurance Plan ‘Suraksha 360’ via Khalti App

MetLife Nepal and Khalti Suraksha have jointly launched a new digital insurance product called “Suraksha 360,” available through the Khalti mobile app.

The new plan aims to simplify the insurance process by allowing users to purchase coverage within minutes using basic personal details, reducing paperwork, and making financial protection more accessible through a mobile-first approach.

Suraksha 360 offers comprehensive coverage under a single package, including life insurance, accidental death and permanent total disability (AD&PTD), critical illness coverage, and accidental medical expenses. The bundled plan is designed to provide financial protection for both health and life-related risks.

The insurance plan is available in three tiers, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, allowing customers to choose based on their protection needs and budget. Coverage ranges from Rs. 23 lakh to Rs. 46 lakh, with annual premiums starting from Rs. 3,810. The product is targeted at individuals aged 18 to 50.

MetLife Nepal’s Chief Distribution Officer, Arun Bahadur Basnet, said the initiative aims to make insurance more accessible and encourage more Nepalis to adopt financial protection through a simple digital platform.

The companies stated that the integration within the Khalti app will allow users to explore, compare, and purchase insurance seamlessly without complex procedures or lengthy documentation.
