Mechi Industries Signs MoU with India's Laxmi In-Fab to Expand AAC Block Production

Mechi Industries Limited, Nepal's leading AAC block manufacturer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India's Laxmi In-Fab Private Limited to boost its production capacity by 5,000 cubic meters of AAC blocks per month.

The company is also in the process of purchasing new plants and equipments for the production of mortar adhesive, ready-mix plaster, tile adhesive, and wall putty as part of its plan for expansion.The collaboration aims to reinforce the industrial linkages between Nepal and India by aligning them with common objectives of sustainable development, as well sharing cutting-edge technology in the construction industry.

 Separately, Mechi Industries has obtained three international certifications  ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018  for quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management, reinforcing its commitment to global standards.

Company Chairman Pawan Ghimire said the achievement reflects the company's continued focus on quality, sustainability, and safety as it works toward becoming a leading contributor to Nepal's industrial development.
