Market Update: NEPSE hits 4% circuit break, to open after 30 min at 1156.99 levels

NEPSE has been halted again at 4 percent circuit break for 30 minutes. The index gained 44.94 points or 4.04 % to halt at 1156.99 levels. Maximum index can rise upto 1168 levels today.
This is the second upward circuit seen today.
Total turnover till now stood Rs 16.67 crores.
Earlier at 12.19 PM, index halted for 15 minutes after it hit 3 percent circuit break to close at 1145.67 levels. Total turnover stood Rs 6.87 crore till first circuit break.
The trading gets halted for the day at the only stock market of the country if the benchmark index rises by 5 percent in a day.
Buoyed by the ongoing capital increment plan and the implementation of paperless share transactions, the NEPSE had hit 4 percent circuit at 12.44 PM after the market opened today for trading.
The trading is suspended for 30 minutes after 4 percent circuit break.
