Market on a five day gaining streak as it registers double digit gain today; Hydropower sector becomes the top gaining sub-index

After ending in the green zone today, the market has managed to consecutively gain for 5 days. The benchmark index posted a double digit growth today as it gained 1.26% or 14.28 points and closed at 1142.93 points. The turnover today was worth Rs.40.28 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,347,048 units of shares traded through 6,753 transactions trading scrips of 171 listed companies in the process.
Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) continues to post the highest turnover. The life insurance company posted a turnover of Rs.2.89 Crore today with its LTP at Rs.1116 per share. Shares of Prabhu Bank (PRVU) exchanged the most number of hands today after 93,766 units of the scrip were traded. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.236 per share.
Ngadi Group Power (NGPL) gained the most today as it stood to gain 8.77% or 10 points and closed at Rs.124 per share. Central Finance Company (CFCL) was today’s top loser as it lost 3.66% or 4 points and closed at Rs.105 per share.
Sensitive Index gained 3.13 points and closed at 243.26 points while Float Index gained 1.19 points and closed at 83.37 points.
Others was the only sector that lost points today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone. Others lost 0.23% while Hydropower gained the most at 2.47%.
