Market loses minimal points after high intraday volatility to close at 1165.20 points; more than 1 Lakh shares of three commercial banks traded today

On the last trading day of the week, the market touched a low of 1160 points and reached a high of 1170 points. However, it stood to lose minimal of 0.05% or 0.64 points. The benchmark index closed at 1165.20 points. Today’s turnover was of Rs.42.34 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,769,700 units of shares traded through 6,871 transactions trading scrips of 172 listed companies in the process.
Today’s highest turnover was posted by NIC Asia Bank (NICA) as the commercial bank posted a turnover of Rs.4.71 Crore with its LTP standing at Rs.440 per share. Civil Bank Limited (CBL) was the most traded scrip today after 127,721 units of shares were traded today. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.160 per share.
Sindhu Bikas Bank (SINDU) was today’s top gainer as it gained 5.19% or 7 points and closed at Rs.142 per share. Universal Power Company (UPCL) hit the negative circuit as it lost 9.24% or 11 points to close at Rs.108 per share.
Sensitive Index lost 0.15 points and closed at 248.57 points while Float Index lost 0.05 points and closed at 85.18 points.
Banking, Finance, Non-Life Insurance and Manufacturing & Processing were among the gaining sub-indices today as they gained 0.09%, 0.08%, 0.02% and 0.30% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone with Hotels losing the most at 1.34%.
