Market gains for third straight day after gaining 6.20 points today; microfinance sector gains the most as 10 microfinance companies hit the positive circuit

The market today posted a gain for the third consecutive day. The benchmark index grew by 0.49% or 6.20 points and closed at 1265.57 points. The turnover stood at Rs.37 Crore achieved from trade of 1,306,756 units of shares traded through 6,476 transactions trading scrips of 169 listed companies in the process.
Today’s trade was dominated by Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) with turnover of Rs.2.85 Crore achieved through trade of 83,941 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.340 per share.
The top gainers list was dominated by microfinance companies with all of them hitting the positive circuit. Among them Civil Laghubitta (CLBSL) and Vijaya Laghubitta (VLBS) gained 10% each and closed at Rs.550 and Rs.572 respectively. Union Hydropower Limited (UNHPL) further lost 4.10% or 3 points and closed at Rs.70 per share.
Sensitive Index gained 1.10 points and closed at 273.24 points while Float Index gained 0.45 point and closed at 93.13 points.
Only Development Banks lost 0.05% or 0.84 points today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
