Market falls by 8.78 points and closes at 1275.82 points; falling for the 5th consecutive day

On the opening day of the week, the market continues the losing trend of the previous week. The benchmark index lost 0.68% or 8.78 points and closed at 1275.82 points. The turnover stood at Rs.61.03 Crore which was achieved from trade of 2,072,304 units of shares traded through 8,334 transactions trading scrips of 173 listed companies in the process.
NIC Asia Bank (NICA) posted the highest turnover today of Rs.4.18 Crore with its LTP at Rs.451 per share. Promoter Shares of City Express Finance (CEFLPO) stood ahead in terms of volume after trade of 159,334 units of shares at par value of Rs.100.
World Merchant banking and Finance (WMBF) was today’s top gainer as it gained 7.61% or 7 points and closed at Rs.99 per share. Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH) was today’s top loser after it lost 7.33% or 24 points and closed at Rs.303 per share.
Sensitive Index lost 1.43 points and closed at 272.46 points while Float Index lost 0.57 points and closed at 93.48 points.
Development Banks, Manufacturing and Mutual Funds were among the gaining sub-indices while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
