Market ends up gaining double digits on the last trading day of the week; Purnima Bikas Bank hits the positive circuit today

On the last trading day of the week, the market ended on a positive note with double digit gain. The benchmark index gained 1.44% or 16.01 points and closed at 1127.77 points. The turnover today was worth Rs.29.27 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,166,179 units of shares traded through 5,500 transactions trading scrips of 176 listed companies in the process.
Today’s highest turnover was achieved by Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) at Rs.1.98 Crore. The LTP of the Life Insurance Company stands at Rs.1111 per share. Shares of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank (NCCB) exchanged the most number of hands today after 61,638 units of the scrip were traded. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.209 per share.
Purnima Bikas Bank (PURBL) hit the positive circuit as it gained 9.94% or 17 points and closed at Rs.188 per share followed by Radhi Bidyut Company (RADHI) which gained 8.92%. Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) was today’s top loser after it lost 4.67% or 10 points and closed at Rs.204 per share.
Sensitive Index gained 3.43 points and closed at 239.72 points while Float Index closed at 1.26 points and closed at 82.09 points.
All sub-indices except for Manufacturing and Processing closed in the green zone today. Manufacturing and Processing sector lost 0.92% or 18.69 points while Life Insurance sector gained the most at 2.77% or 159.32 points.
