Market closes for the week with loss of 1.74 points; seven companies hit the positive circuit today

On the closing day of the week, the market lost 0.14% or 1.74 points. Although the market reached a high of 1271 points, the benchmark index closed at 1263.84 points. The turnover today stood at Rs.59.05 Crore achieved from trade of 2,060,678 units of shares traded through 8,453 transactions trading scrips of 168 listed companies in the process.

Promoter Shares of Neco Insurance Limited (NILPO) dominated today’s trade with turnover of Rs.7.45 Crore achieved through trade of 235,255 units of shares. The LTP of the scrip stands at Rs.316.92 per share.

Seven companies hit the positive circuit today. Among them Sparsha Laghubitta (SPARS) gained the highest at 10% or 60 points and closed at Rs.660 per share. United Insurance Company (UIC) was today’s top loser as it lost 4.44% or 16 points and closed at Rs.344 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 0.71 points and closed at 272.53 points while Float Index lost 0.16 points and closed at 92.97 points.

Finance, Non-Life Insurance, Microfinance and Life Insurance were the gaining sub-indices today while rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
