Machhapuchchhre Bank Launches 'Bill Jitau' Feature on Mobile App To Support Govt Tax Reward Scheme

Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited has introduced a "Bill Jitau" (Win with Bills) feature on its MBL M-Smart mobile banking app to support the Inland Revenue Department's "Taxpayer Incentive Gift Programme."

The programme, launched under the government's budget for fiscal year 2083/84, aims to promote a bill-taking culture, encourage digital payments, and improve transparency in the tax system.

Under the scheme, customers who make digital payments of over Rs 100 for personal purchases through a bank or wallet's QR code automatically qualify for the programme, with no separate registration required.

Machhapuchchhre Bank customers can log into the MBL M-Smart app and access the "Bill Jitau" menu to view their eligible transactions and check prize results in one place.

The Inland Revenue Department conducts regular lucky draws from eligible transactions, awarding Rs 1 lakh (after tax deduction) to one winner daily and a bumper prize of Rs 10 lakh to one winner every 15 days.
