Machhapuchchhre Bank & Heifer International signs agreement to implement deprived sector lending program; also signs pact with NBI for strategic alliance

Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited has signed partnership agreement with Heifer International Nepal to implement deprived sectors lending program supported by Sakchyam Access to Finance Program.
As per the press release published by the bank yesterday, under this agreement, MBL will provide loan facilities from four cooperatives of Dang district. The bank will provide loan without collateral to deprived families through the cooperatives. The bank believes that this program will help deprived and disadvantaged people to initiate their own business.
The bank has been providing services from 62 branches, 4 extension counters, 7 branchless banking services to its customers.
Furthermore, National Banking Institute Limited (NBI) and Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited have signed an agreement for strategic alliance whereby NBI would provide exclusively customized training programs to the bank for human capital development.
Mr. Niraj Kumar Shrestha, CEO of Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited and Mr. Sanjib Subba, CEO of NBI signed the agreement.
