Laxmi Sunrise Bank Partners with WWF Nepal and Kamdi Community for ‘The Goal is Green’ Initiative

Laxmi Sunrise Bank has partnered with WWF Nepal and the Kamdi Community Forest Coordination Committee (CFCC) to implement it's flagship environmental campaign, 'The Goal is Green', aimed at promoting climate action and forest restoration in Nepal.

Under the initiative, the bank pledged to plant one native tree for every goal scored during the FIFA World Cup 2026. With the tournament ending with 333 goals, Laxmi Sunrise will plant 333 native trees in collaboration with local communities. WWF Nepal will provide technical expertise on species selection and ecological restoration, while the Kamdi CFCC will carry out plantation and ensure long term care of the trees.

The initiaitive reflects the bank's commitment to environmental sustainability by linking a global sporting event with community-led conservation efforts, contributing to biodiversity, healthier ecosystems, and Nepal's long-term environmental resilience.
