Landslide Blocks Mugling Narayangadh Road Section After Heavy Rainfall

The Mugling Narayangadh road section has been obstructed after a landslide triggered by continuous rainfall fell onto the road in Chitwan on Sunday morning.

According to the Road Division Office, Bharatpur, a landslide carrying mud and debris fell above the Namsi Khola Bridge, blocking vehicular movement from around 7:55 AM.

The Road Division Office, Bharatpur, said that equipment has already been deployed to remove the landslide debris and reopen the road.

Officials estimate that it will take around two hours to clear the landslide and resume traffic along the affected section.

The Mugling Narayangadh road is a major highway connecting Kathmandu with Chitwan and other parts of western and central Nepal. Authorities have urged travelers to remain cautious as rainfall may trigger further landslides in vulnerable sections of the highway.
