On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, Kumari Bank Limited planted 300 saplings in Ilam district, in collaboration with Ilam Municipality and the Lumbini World Peace Forum. The plantation program was conducted in a tea garden area owned by the municipality through the bank’s Phikkal branch.

The initiative is expected to contribute to environmental conservation, biodiversity protection, and climate change mitigation while promoting greenery and ecological balance. It is also anticipated to enhance Ilam’s attractiveness as a tourist destination and support sustainable tourism development.

The bank, which has been providing banking services for the past 25 years, continues to implement various corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities across Nepal under its “Kumari Bank for the Community” initiative. These include educational support for underprivileged students, infrastructure development in community and government schools, distribution of sanitation materials for a clean environment, support to orphanages, and financial and digital literacy programs. The bank has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such social initiatives in the future.
