Kaligandaki Corridor Blocked by Rockslide, Awaiting Clearance

Vehicular movement along the Kaligandaki Corridor remains halted after a rockslide on Monday deposited debris and mud at Baralla in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-6. The obstruction has severely disrupted travel through the area.

Rural Municipality Chairman Bed Bahadur Thapa stated that although clearing efforts continued through Monday night, persistent rock and mudslides hindered progress. A police team led by Assistant Inspector Dev Bahadur Bhujel has been deployed from Bhurtung to the affected site, as confirmed by Inspector Narayan Prasad Adhikari.

Authorities have urged travelers to use alternative routes until the road is fully cleared. The disruption has caused significant inconvenience for passengers en route to Parbat, Baglung, and Pokhara.
