Inland Revenue Department Postpones Tax Incentive Draw Following Fatal Floods
The Inland Revenue Department has temporarily suspended its tax incentive program following recent natural disasters in the country.
The tax authority issued a public notice on Tuesday informing citizens about the decision to hold back the program for the time being.
The step was taken out of respect for the widespread loss of life and destruction caused by severe floods and landslides in several regions, including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading.
As part of the suspension, the daily and grand prize reward draw originally scheduled for Tuesday (September 1) will not take place. Instead, the department has rescheduled the event for September 17. On that day, coupon winners will be selected from all purchase receipts issued throughout the entire month of August.
