IGI Prudential Insurance Holds 28th AGM, Approves 5% Cash Dividend and Expands Digital & Health Insurance Services

IGI Prudential Insurance Limited successfully conducted its 28th Annual General Meeting in Kathmandu, highlighting the company’s strong financial performance, service expansion, and commitment to strengthening Nepal’s insurance sector. The meeting unanimously approved a 5 percent cash dividend to shareholders and announced the completion of the company’s new head office building at Baluwatar–Panipokhari, which will become operational by Magh 2082.
The company reaffirmed its position as the largest non-life insurance company in Nepal with a paid-up capital of Rs 3.02 Arba and reported steady growth in premium income, collecting over Rs 3.86 Arba in the review year. IGI also paid more than Rs 79 crore in taxes, underlining its contribution to national revenue.
During the meeting, the company announced new customer-focused initiatives, including the launch of IGI Health Care for cashless medical services across Nepal and India, and IGI Tourist Insurance in partnership with Himalayan Guardian Nepal to provide rescue and treatment coverage for foreign trekkers and mountaineers.
Emphasizing digital transformation, IGI stated its focus on technology-driven, customer-friendly services to enhance efficiency and transparency. Company leadership expressed optimism about Nepal’s improving economic environment and reiterated their commitment to strengthening internal controls, regulatory compliance, and sustainable business growth.
