ICRA Nepal Reaffirms Shikhar Insurance AA- Rating, Removes Negative Watch Status

Shikhar Insurance Company Limited has retained its [ICRANP-IR] AA- issuer rating from ICRA Nepal Limited, with the agency removing the previous “Watch with Negative Implications” status.

The reaffirmed AA- rating indicates that Shikhar Insurance maintains a high degree of safety in meeting its financial obligations on time, reflecting a stable credit profile and improved outlook compared to its earlier negative watch position.

ICRA Nepal clarified that the rating reflects the company’s overall creditworthiness rather than any specific debt instrument. Within the rating scale, AA- stands one notch below AA, while still representing strong financial stability and lower credit risk.
