House panel tells MoLRM to revise annual plan

KATHMANDU:

Agriculture and Water Resources Committee of the Parliament on Sunday directed the Ministry of Land Reform and Management (MoLRM) to revise its plans and programmes for the next fiscal year 2015/16.

While holding discussions over the Ministry's annual plan for next fiscal at its meeting today, the Committee also decided to draw attention of the National Planning Commission and the Ministry of Finance to allocate more budgets to the MoLRM.

The decision was made after the Ministry complained that the allocated budget will be insufficient to implement planned programmes.

Members of the House panel had also suggested the MoLRM to initiate programmes to address landless people, the Committee said.
