House of Representatives Meeting Rescheduled for Wednesday

The meeting of Nepal’s House of Representatives, originally scheduled for 1:00 PM on Tuesday, has been postponed and rescheduled for 1:00 PM on Wednesday.

According to a notice issued by Federal Parliament Secretary-General Padma Prasad Pandey on Tuesday, the meeting has been rescheduled in accordance with Rule 6(3) of the House of Representatives Regulations, 2083.

The House meeting had been scheduled to discuss several legislative matters. Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sobita Gautam was expected to present the Nepal Law Commission (First Amendment) Bill, 2083.

Minister Gautam was also scheduled to present a proposal seeking consideration of the Reconciliation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083.

Similarly, she was expected to table the Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction, under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Youth, Labour and Employment Minister Ramji Yadav was also scheduled to present a proposal seeking to send the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Bill, 2083 to the concerned parliamentary committee for clause-by-clause discussion.

The House is now scheduled to take up these and other listed matters when it meets at 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
