House Begins Debate on Government's Policy and Programme for FY 2082/83

The House of Representatives has started deliberations on the government's policy and programme for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 BS, with a meeting scheduled at 11 AM today.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to table a proposal to initiate discussions based on the annual policy and programme presented by President Ramchandra Paudel during the joint session of parliament on Friday.

General Secretary of the Federal Parliament, Padma Prasad Pandey, confirmed that amendments submitted by lawmakers will also be tabled and debated during the session.

While the House begins its discussion today, the National Assembly already opened deliberations on the policy document on Sunday. The upper house is also expected to continue its debate in a session scheduled for 1:15 PM today.
