HoR Member Mingma David Sherpa Summits Mt. Sagarmatha, Carries Federal Parliament Symbol
Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) Mingma David Sherpa successfully summited Mt. Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) at 5:40 am on Wednesday, marking a notable achievement in his mountaineering expedition. He reached the world’s highest peak carrying the logo of the Federal Parliament of Nepal.
According to Sherpa, who shared the update via Facebook from Everest Base Camp, the successful ascent was completed on the ninth day of his expedition. He undertook the climb under the slogan “From Parliament to Peak,” symbolizing his journey from legislative responsibilities to high-altitude achievement.
Following the summit, Sherpa expressed gratitude to House of Representatives Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Rastriya Swatantra Party leader Dol Prasad Aryal, and others who supported his expedition to Mt. Sagarmatha.
